3 year old behaviour- normal?

My DS is 3 and he screams and moans a lot and I just wondered if this is normal. My DD never did this so I have nothing to compare to. He is behind with his speech but that is catching up now but when him and DD fight etc he'll just shriek and scream. I tell him to use his words and he can and does but I find it very waring to be honest when he behaves like this. I've done the m chat test before and his score was high but now his speech has come along, the score is low as the concerns were based on things like not pointing or struggling to communicate but he communicates all his wants/needs now and points to thing and has very good joint attention. So I don't know if this is just his personality basically and he's just highly strung!? DH and FIL are both v highly strung. DH has chilled out a lot but FIL can be very uptight and everyone has to know about it and he is prone to outbursts so it's making me think this is just his nature. Sorry for the ramble!

What did you do when the MChat score was high @jardins34? Did you see the GP and discuss the results?

@SiouxsieSiouxStiletto no I didn't, we were arranging private speech therapy at the time and the HV and his nursery had no concerns

Can anyone else relate to this? Or any parenting tips to help him get out of this phase? 😬 I don't know if some kids are just screechers?! Today his sister was running off without him and he was saying wait for me wait for me but also screeching. It's obviously when he gets frustrated so just any tips to navigate would be helpful
