Standing up from floor

My 22 month old can't stand up from the floor when sitting or lying down. They can pull up using wall , furniture or people but just not on his own. It's so hard as they constantly need help to get up or still crawl to something to help. Any suggestions on how to help? Or when yours did this

It does seem a bit later than typical. When did they start walking? How are they with things like going up and down stairs (holding the wall/railing) or walking up and down a slope? If they're standing, can they crouch or bend to pick something up and then stand up again?
