I feel like it's constant here. Our 7 year old is awaiting an autism assessment and I don't know if it's an emotional regulation thing or just age. I don't remember my 10 year old being like this.
Some examples from the last 10 minutes: playing with her brother and he has used a Lego brick she wanted, and she'll shout/scream "waaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaa" at the top of her voice, and her voice is LOUD! 🙉
Then her Lego broke and again "WAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA" and then tears, blaming everyone for it although they weren't near it, and then hiding under a blanket hyperventilating.
Then "can I go on screens?" And when I said no because we're going to eat v soon and I know how hard it is to come off of them.. "WAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAA IT'S NOT FAIR"
I put beans on her plate which she normally likes "AAAAÀAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!" Then tears and calling us names.
They're not full meltdowns, more a huge reaction to minor inconveniences, but they honestly happen every 1/2 minutes or so in the holidays. Does this sound typical or no?
