Feeding

My baby is almost 5 months old and the last 3 weeks she no longer feeds well. She is formula bottle fed for reference. She now cries and moves her head away an ounce in to the feed and this is every single feed no fail. We have tried earlier feeds, later feeds, faster & slower teats and still nothing is working. We are having to try and get it down her as we trialled one day of just responding to her and she had less than 6 ounces the full day.
She used to have 7 ounces every 4 hours and finished the bottle, winded well and wouldn't fuss or cry.
Does anyone have any advice or similar stories that may help us feel less defeated? I now dread mealtimes and am very upset by this. Thank you

I read that it's normal for baby to be fussy or go through regression at this stage. Did you gave honey to your baby?

Why would she give her baby Honey? It's not advised until 12 months due to the very small risk of botulism.

@mumturner I'd call 111 if your baby is only having 6 floz in one day and nothing else or go to your nearest walk in centre.

@oldnorsesaga no my little one is 4 months old she is not weaning yet just formula.

@SiouxsieSiouxStiletto thank you, we have done so but as she is still gaining weight they won't look into anything further. The 6 ounces the full day was a one off to try and see if she would tell us when she was hungry but of course that never worked :(

I suppose I'm just hoping someone on here had similar at this stage and it was a phase that they grew out of

Has she got any other symptoms apart from bottle aversion? Apparently I had botyle aversion as a baby but it's because I had raging CMPA.

Have you tried changing her formula? Maybe try a different brand or a comfort formula?

Have you tried the book Feeding aversion by Rowena Bennett at all?
