hi

i have a 2 week old baby boy, when he was born his length was not measured. me and dp got the tape measure out tonight and measured him from heal to the top of his head at 22 inches. we put this up against our legs and if he stood upright he would tower above the knee. so i was just wondering what the average length/height is?

thanks

Iampgatlast, if you look at your ds' red book, there will be a length chart for boys around the back. It will give you the centiles week by week until 1 year old.

Can't remember measurement, but dd2 was off the scale. By quite a margin.

She was known as Peter Crouch for a while

My dd was 55cm when born (which was 91st centile...not sure in inches)

mine was 56cm when born - she's ten weeks now and was 65cm last time she was measured, about a week ago..............a big lass!

DS (no 6yrs) was 24 inches at two weeks. They grow very quickly in those first few months and have a growth spurt at three weeks. HTH
