suspicious rash- help

hi. my dds just has a rash all day . it fades. its inlose clusters, n it slowly gettin more spots.

shes also had a drastic change in cry, which is loder with a differerant sound. this has all happened 2day.

am i right to be worried n what does it sound like to u.

it will probably be fine but you must get advice with symptoms liek this.

Ring your local A&E - I ewouldnt bother with NHS direct as they will tell you to get hospital advice

as i said, I am sure it is fine, but with little ones it is better to be over cautious

Hi - put a glass against the spots. Do they fade? If not call a doctor or go to A&E immediately. Does she have cold hands and feet - this suggests an infection. Is she listless, not responding to you as usual? Has she been sick at all? Does she have a temperature? All these points are cause for concern. If you are still worried, get her checked out straight away. I have had a baby with meningococaal meningitis so I know a little about it. Many small children have rashes without it being anything serious, but you MUST do the glass test now. I hope this helps.
