11 month old HATES clothes

Anyone? Is this normal? My 11 month old absolutely cannot stand being clothes. Especially t shirts over his head. That's the worst. He has a complete breakdown every morning and several times a day (he gets very messy refuses to wear a bib that's another thing) and it is so draining.

Do they just grow out of this? Literally he is hysterical every time. He even doesn't like getting his nappy changed.

WHY??????

Late reply to this OP, but just come across your thread because my 10 month dd is absolutely awful getting nappy changed and not great with clothes. She is quite big for her age and she is pretty much break dancing spinning round on her head when trying to change her nappy! She also does around 3/4 poos a day which makes it so much more difficult because she is having a meltdown every time it needs changing. Is your DS very active? My DD is super active, such a shock to system as first dd nothing like her and I wonder whether it because she just hates being disrupted.

@scrabbledabbl is he bothered by anything else sensory like food textures or loud noises?

scrabbledabbl · 24/06/2023 18:10

@121gigawatts YES he hates having his nappy changed with a passion he roars like I'm murdering him it's so confusing! Like I can understand not wanting clothes over your head but the nappy thing doesn't make sense like do they just prefer to be in the nude or are they hot? I can't figure it out I just hope they grow out of it.

Does he mix with other DC his age @scrabbledabbl? Is he very active compared to them?

scrabbledabbl · 24/06/2023 19:57

@SiouxsieSiouxStiletto he doesn't have sensory issues as far as I am aware. I think he's quite active in comparison to his peers who just seem to sit and stare at the world
