Hi All,

My DS has not been to the swimming baths before

He is 19months old, and is going to our local pool on Sunday with my DP. Its DP?s bday tomorrow he's been going on about taking DS swimming (it?s his 1st child, I have 2 other DS)

So as a bday surprise I have got Sunday all sorted, I want to buy all DS swimming things, wrap them up and give them to DP. In his card I will put the pool time and tickets.

I want something that?s not gonna get in the way when DP wants to hold him, but it also must keep him afloat enough that he will not panic.

I know what you?re thinking that?s what they?re made 4 to keep them afloat!!!

My older 2ds are 19+16 back then we used rubber rings and arm bands, the boys slipped through the rubber ring and the arm bands didn't stop their heads going under, using the 2 at once just made it harder. They kept them afloat but then the kids could hardly move about.

Looking in Argos the Floaties Swim Seat looks a good float support, but looks like DP will not be able to cuddle DS easily.

We don't have much money, I must also get it today, I do try getting sorted earlier but it always ends up last minute.

I am meeting old work mates 2 nite for a meal and I still need to go out and get clothes

What are my options?

Are the floaties Swim Seats better than my first impressions?
