Chicago Pd Help GIF by One Chicago

Hi! I am a SENCo in a nursery. Often I have to tell parents that we believe their child may have a special educational need. What things as parents would you want to hear/not want to hear during a meeting about this? What support or advice would help soften this news?

I don't know. We had the exact opposite problem. Kept saying yo the Teachers, GO and SENCO that something was wrong. SENCO actually laughed.

DC is now on the pathway. We've had the first appointment and have already been told that they're showing "done significant ASD traits". Yeah, tell me something I don't know.

So can't help with your question but just wanted to share our story as not all DC with ASD are badly behaved at school.
