Hi,Really wanting some advice and reassurance at the mo.
Its now got to the point where i fear taking my DD out of her buggy as i know it will end up in tears!.As soon as shes out walking she will refuse to hold my hand, goes of in the opposite direction and will throw a full scale tantrum when i get to walk the way i'm going. She has to touch everything when were in a store and will again throw herself on the floor when i take whatever she shouldnt have of her!.I've tried the whole telling of thing and srapping her back in her pushchair much to her protest, i've tried reins which dont make much difference because she still grabs at things and wants to go the way she wants to go.Please help!,These are the times when i question my parenting skills and i think at the mo there crap as she dosent take any notice.Dont get me wrong, i'm not a pushover with her and she does know the word no sometimes!, but not when were out.She completley changes.Sorry to rant on.
Em x

Could you keep her hands busy in the pushchair with some finger food, or a book that is attached to the side?

TBH she sounds like a normal toddler. You may have to change the times you shop, ie leave her at home with Dad for a bit and go alone!

When she is kicking off at getting back in the buggy try the distraction technique where you squeal with as much enthusiasm as you can muster 'OOh! Look, theres a XXXX!!!' (you fill in the blank) Her momentary shock will hopefully enable you to click her into the straps.
