18 month old screaming during nappy changes

Hi, my 18 month old has been screaming the place down for weeks now every time me or my husband change his nappy. He goes from being completely fine to having a full blown tantrum and he really doesn’t calm down. I’ve tried talking calmly, and giving him a toy or something to hold but nothing is working. I began putting on music to do it but that also doesn’t work. When nursery or grandparents change his nappy he is absolutely fine so just saves these outbursts for me and my husband. It’s really getting me down. I don’t know why he screams for us when he’s happy for others to do it and other than the nappy changes and a few tantrums around food he is usually very good.

Not sure what to do now and am dreading every nappy change.

Hi,

My 15 month now screams and cries 90% of the time I lay her down to change her nappy. I think it's because she's just learnt to walk and just wants to be up and about, not lying on her back. I've taken to changing her nappy whilst she's standing up/walking around which she's very happy for me to do. It's trickier for me but she's a happy, non screaming, mostly complaint child when I do.

Heya I was searching as my 14 month old does this, gets dreadfully distressed. She doesn't do it at nursery apparently. Did it resolve?
