My dear, kind little boy is has been behaving really out of character he becomes the most disagreeable, mean, rude little boy. Me and my husband feel like we’re walking on eggshells all the time. He does and says things and looks at us like he’s actively trying to create conflict and to see what happens. We’ve been deflecting, redirecting and ignoring but it’s been going on about 3 weeks and it’s so wearing. I want my little boy back, he’s so emotional and grumpy. He’s not like it at nursery it’s mostly directed at me, DH and my mum. Any ideas what is going on or what I can do?
when I’ve spoken to him about why he is so angry he just says it’s because he doesn’t want to go to bed (or similar) not the bigger picture of why he’s being like this. So as not to drip feed he goes on about being bored and says he’s naughty because he’s bored but he does have lots of activities and always has something fun/enjoyable to do in a day.
