ASD or typical toddler development?

My 2.4 year old absolutes hates loud noises like the vacuum cleaner, lawn mower etc he screams, shakes, cries and hides.. so we stopped a long time ago doing these things when he is awake or at home. He also hates having his hair touched, he screams and throws himself on the floor if we have to cut it, he comes out in hives he gets so upset.

Is it normal for a toddler to have these sensory issues? Or is it potentially ASD?

He is behind with speech but has about 100 or so words, so not non verbal and he can definitely has meltdowns which usually include scratching, but he is improving hugely compared to last year. I’m not sure if that is him just understanding the world at his own pace or again other signs of ASD

Sound like there are some asd traits. Have you had your 2 year check yet? How did he score? You can look the asq online and check if you havnt had it yet. Either way the health visitor should be doing some referrals or giving advice at very least.
