Hi, we are struggling with severe and violent behaviour in our 7 year old who has been referred for ASD assessment. The wait list is 2 years and we’ve been recommended not to go private as county likely won’t accept diagnosis.
What I’d like to do now is just have the chance to talk things through with an expert and have them review her case. Not for a diagnosis as such but to look at what support measures we should be looking at and how to access them. School try to help with this but every service they direct to is overwhelmed. We are happy to pay but don’t actually know what provision would actually be meaningful. We really just want an expert, fresh pair of eyes to make sure we are doing all the right things to get the help she needs.
So basically looking for recommendations of an experienced psychologist specialising in children who likely have an ND element to their behaviour. Would really appreciate it!
