Bless him he is suffering very badly every time I leave him even to go to the loo. mil is very upset as he wont go anywhere near her or fil but is fine with my mum. btw he sees more of mil than my mum. mil has to physically drag him away from me kicking and screaming. He goes to nursery and to mil every friday but wont leave me now. What do i do we are both exhausted x

Not much help really, but time will help ! ie it will pass eventually. dd1 was like this with me from a very early age, until she was nearly 4. She only ever wanted me, and preferred my mum and sis, over her own dad, as she saw them most ! my mil was the same, would think she was helping me by dragging dd1 away, saying mummy doesn't want you she's busy, come and do this, and dd1 would have none of it !
She's nothing like it now, she is 5, and she even pushed me away when I wanted a cuddle the other day !

thanks that makes me feel better. had arranged for mil to have them whilst dh and I had a valentines lunch (he is working tomorrow) and he broke down at the mention of her name so he ended up happy as laary with my mum. We then had to ring mil to tell her he didnt want to go - feel so sorry for her but am not going to force him into anything when he is obviously having a hard time x
