Fractious feeding

I'm hoping someone can help with my five month old because I am at my wits end.

He is a fractious feeder. Never been breast fed, but is bottle averse. I can only get milk in him when sleepy, or sometimes in a bouncer. Bedtime is the worst - he screams and screams, sometimes I think he is overly hungry, sometimes I think he isn't hungry enough, sometimes I think he is too tired. I have experimented with naps and feeding timings.

Things we've tried that have not worked - CMPA milk which he remains on, gaviscon, omeprazole, colief, infacol.

He sleeps 45 minutes morning, 2 hours lunchtime, 45 minutes cat nap before bed waking at 4.45 for 7pm bedtime. He doesn't seem overly tired.

He doesn't seem to have a lot of wind and he does not vomit. Omeprazole and gaviscon did nothing at all. The gp is useless and health visitor has no idea.

It's the worst it's been at the moment and I am just thinking of weaning him contrary to the advice. He is just so upset by feeding, only eats when starving (and at night!) and screams for an hour during bedtime. We've had five straight months of this and just feel so sad about it.

I should add that due to all of the above his bedtime feed is the smallest of the day. Just put him to bed once again after 3oz, after trying for over an hour to feed him. His last feed was at 3pm. It obviously impacts his nighttime sleep. So demoralised.
