Stuttering at 2.5

My 2.5 year old has suddenly started stuttering quite badly, mainly over the letter c at the beginning of a word (can, colour, could).

What I've read online says this can be developmentally normal as they acquire language quickly, and often disappears as fast as it arrives but to get help if it persists after six months.

Has anyone got any other advice? Had no SLT issues with my eldest, so I've no idea what's normal development and what's an early warning sign that some support might be needed

My eldest did this for about a 3 month period when they were a similar age. We had just gone into lockdown and we spoke to nursery and they said to monitor but it was likely a response to the huge change. It resolved itself with no problems, we just gave him time to speak without interrupting. No advice I'm afraid, but worth speaking to someone if you are worried.

No idea if it's developmentally normal. We've had other SLT interventions but not for stuttering.

It might be worth giving the Talking Point Helpline a call and see what they say Flowers
