I'm not sure if I've posted this to the correct board. How often do you tell a lie? I had it drilled into me when I was a young child that you shouldn't tell lies. I generally don't tell any lies. However, my DH will tell so many pointless lies every day. He has inherited this trait from his mother who is the same. I never paid too much attention to it before but now we have children I'm worried about the example it is setting for them. So for instance, DH will tell DD that she is doing something particular at nursery that day to get her to be more cooperative in getting ready. Or he'll tell his mother we're doing something we're not like being asleep or out. I don't like it and I'm correcting his lies to DD. However, I'm wondering whether this is normal and I have just been brought up in a abnormally moral (in terms of lying) household.
