Hi, my daughter is 11 months and my plan is to stop breastfeeding around her 1st birthday. Obviously she's too young to explain why boob is stopping, and I know I'm probably gonna have a few sleepless nights. I also want to do oat milk instead of cows milk as she has bad eczema and dairy is thought to be one of the triggers for her. Any tips will be appreciated!

I can't advise on an alternative milk after one. I'm just wondering if you are DF and if that's helped her eczema?

As for stopping, I'd start with the night feeds. There's a very gentle method here Wink

I now feed my 19month old once a day (evening, but will probably cut down soon) having cut loads of feeds in the day and night between around 12-13 months. I started by making a formal routine with feeds (so stopped snacking), and then after that dropped one feed a week. She then night weaned herself after her day feeds stopped - I don't know how common that is or if I got very lucky!

Distraction is key!
