Tic at 10 months old

Hello all! Wondering if anyone could share any knowledge or experience.

My LO is 10 and a half months old. Seems to be hitting all her milestones fine, taking a few steps, babbling etc. She has a lot of energy and doesn’t seem to need as much sleep as other babies her age, and is still waking every 2/3 hours overnight. She is very happy and sociable, and I make sure she has lots of activities throughout the week. That’s for context - unsure if relevant.

Over the last week she has developed a tic - namely when she’s excited or frustrated. Kind of like if you were to eat something sharp, I guess. She blinks her eyes and kind of shudders.

I think it’s just developmental, her dad is more concerned.

Any experiences shared are welcome 💗

They are changing so quickly at this age aren't they. I'd be tempted to leave it a month to see if she stops.

My daughter is 1 at the end of this month and has been doing the same kind of movement. I first noticed it a couple of months ago she did it once. I’ve noticed her do it a handful of times since and really don’t understand what it is. Was concerned there is something wrong with her eyes but i am a bit of a worrier 😞

If you are concerned about her eyes @Lady929 you could ask your HV to do an Ages & Stages test and to refer her for an eye test?
