Dummy help!

Hi all,

My baby is 12 weeks old and loves her dummy. However, at the moment she is crying through the night whenever she drops it. Do we wean off the dummy or just continue to go through the night like we are? The most important thing to me is that she is happy, but I'm not sure dropping it in the night is making her happy. She uses the orthodontic mam dummy (glow in the dark fyi).

First time parent here so NOTHING is too obvious to suggest.

Thank you!

I can't help sorry. Both of my little aids would never take one, no matter how much we tried.

Hopefully someone will be along soon Wink

Sods not aids! What a bloody peculiar autocorrect!

There’s a growth spurt around 12 weeks so it could be that disturbing her sleep. There’s a sleep regression around 4 months too, which also she could be gearing up to. I would personally persist with the dummy, it’s a life saver but it’s your call.

Thank you both!

We changed up the evening routine last night and for some reason, she didn't bother with her dummy in the night. The two things may not be linked, but it whatever changed it worked... for last night anyway Grin
