4 year old DD is just unmanageable. She's social, confident, happy etc at nursery and never any concerns about behaviour but is totally out of control at home. She doesn't listen, refuses to go to bed/sleep and we are at the end of our tether. We've tried to stay calm, talk about her feelings and how we can help, given choices, been firm, eventually shouted when it's just got too much. I feel awful and have been in tears tonight as I just feel I can no longer cope with her behaviour and understand that part of it is probably me/us but just don't know what else to do. She literally cannot bear not to have her own way and I feel like most of our life is dictated by her. Does anyone have any advice? We are contemplating contacting the drs as we both suffer with our mental health (and I am awaiting an ADHD assessment) so could be that this is something she is also struggling with but it just feels like we are failing on all fronts!
