What do I do with my child?!

My child age 5 6 in a few months had drove me and my husband mental. I don't know what is wrong with him, his behavior has gone down hill so much.
To try keep it basic, he doesn't listen, has the back chat and attitude of a 15 year old, loses it and screams, whines and will not stop and half the time I genuinely don't know what has happened for him to kick off.

He's always been a lovely kid quite gentle placid etc obviously would on occasion be naughty as he isn't perfect never has been never will be, but just lately his temper tantrums and angry out rages are something else.

I've tried the calm talking parenting style-didn't work I've tried the old school up in your room parenting-doesn't work. I have tried every theory under the sun-I given each theory a good go for a long time and nothing is working.

Patient and very placid even lost it with him today, he's been very calming throughout but he's had enough.

Someone pls help I'm at a loss I don't know what his problem is I don't think he knows, he's just being horrible. He's not having anything currently as he's been so naughty we've ended up taking everything away from him like tv etc please help one very lost, upset mother

Has anything changed @user1478639495? School or Teacher? Someone new in your circle of friends or family? Could it have started after an illness?

The only change I can think of is me expecting a baby, I thought perhaps it's this but I talk to him about it and ask him how he feels about it etc he says he cant wait for the baby to come he asks most days if it's here yet, he touches my tummy, I wouldn't of thought he'd have any issues with it going by all of that but I could be wrong because I honestly just don't know what to do with him nor does my husband. He has a younger sibling so he's not going from an only child.

He just looses it, mostly I don't know what over hell
Just loose it and scream and scream, we try to reason with him and he just screams and shouts at us we take things away from him if we can't reason with him and he just doesn't seem to get it, he'll get upset and cry and carry on he doesn't seem to think actually if I stop this then things will get better.

I've always been able to control his behavior but this I at a loss, calm talking parenting isn't working and neither is the harder style parenting, even my husband is losing it more and he looks genuinely upset and confused why he's doing this.

We're both really upset over this as nothings working it really is like he is broke! We hate having to punish him and just want to have fun with him so it's like we are all getting punished everyday and still nothing is working.
