My baby is 3months old and she gives good eye contact when laying down but not when im holding her or when she is on my lap facing me ...and doesn't turn her eyes or head to sounds if i am not in her sight ..im very worrying about autism ... really crying my eyes out every day ...
concerns :
no eye contact when being held
no eye contact when feeding
not turning her head /eyes to sound when I am not in her sight
can play on her own never seeks my attention
cry little only when she wants milk
sleep through out the night
not interested in people faces ...
facinated by curtains ceiling fan
always watching curtains design

positives :
she batting toys
she tries to grab the toys
she smiles back when I smile at her
like to be held
she coos , squeals
can track objects (not from completely left side to right side)
any mom out there had the similar experience and turned out to be fine

Honestly? She sounds completely normal. If there is Autism I don't think anyone is going to assess her at 3 months anyway.

My advice would be to wait until her 12 month check with your HV and if there are any concerns then, and you still think she may have ASD, ask for a referral to a Paediatrician then.

In the meantime, I know it's hard but stay away from google, it seems to be robbing you of any enjoyment of your little DD Flowers

Awwww- you're obviously really worried, which is completely normal. BUT, try and relax- these are normal developmental stages. Baba just hadn't met some of them yet and that is normal!!

@JJS1809 but my baby intentionally avoiding like if my mil hold her she will look everything if i come across her face she hide her face as if she is shy

What is your gut feeling in this @mthrofflwr? Do you really think that something is wrong.

If you do think that something is wrong then contact your HV and ask her to do the ASQ-3 test for 2 month olds.

There are a couple of suggested activities here which she might enjoy Flowers
