13 month old putting socks on

DD is 13 months old and for the past month, she's been trying to get her socks on. To my amazement, she managed to get 1 on last week. It wasn't back to front or anything, it was properly on with the face at the front. I did a quick search and developmental wise they say from 36m. I was shocked to read this. She's been pulling them off since 7 months.

dd is a dot. She's 9th percentile in 6-9m clothes. She's just started walking with her walker and it looks so odd cause she's so small. Her feet still fit 0-3m pumps lol. I was concerned with her size but HV says she's normal for her or following the line.

She's not conversating as such but when I ask her if she wants something she shakes her head up and down and says yes. Similarly, if I try to give her food she doesn't want, she shakes side to side and says no.

I'm just trying to figure out if I have an unusual baby here. She's my first.

Anyone else?

You'll find out all evens out in the end. My eldest could put her socks on from a very young age, she was fiercely independent and wanted to try everything herself and was resilient enough to do so.

My youngest is 4 and still isn't arsed to even attempt to dress herself...

There's other things she has been quicker to do than her sister though.

Agree with pp, it does all even out. They will do some things shockingly early, most around average and some a bit late. It's great about the socks though as my 2.5yr old struggles with getting socks on still. Its so lovely to start to see the things they are good at and watch their little personalities develop.
