Help please ... 11 month old regularly throwing up at evening feed ...

I'm hoping someone out there can help ... on a fairly regular basis my DD of 11 months old (although she has done this for some months!) throws up after or most of the way through her evening bottle. She has dinner at around 5pm-ish, bath at 6 and then a final formula bottle of approx 7oz just before 7pm but with no warning often throws up the whole works and is then fine afterwards, falling asleep while the washing machine does it's thing! Any advice please???!!!

too much milk>?

How much does an 11 month old need daily? She has one bottle first thing in the morning, takes about half another 7oz late after a nap at about 3pm and then this last one ... she only drank about 4oz tonight and still did it ... too much food overall? She isn't a great eater of solids so I thought the milk was needed.

does she by any chance have low tone at all? ie a bit floppy, late sitter, late or no crawling not weight bearing on legs battles to or cant roll over?

They can have loose muscles on their stomachs and therefore get sick easier. If that is the case then keeping them upright helps and possibly its always the nighttime feed because you then lie her down, and it all comes up?

I thought of this because my dd did the same, more frequently though.

dont know if that helped at all.

i would just say that it is too much in that one feed. no idea how much they are supposed to have per day, but ds often threw up if he had overeaten.
I'd try maybe giving her 4-5oz. you can always give her more if she wants it

I would think 7oz might be too much if it is less than 2 hours since she had her dinner! My DD can only just now manage 7oz before bed, and she is nearly 16 mos old.

Thanks all, her tone seems good as she didn't crawl until about 9 months but she loves walking around with you holding her hands (great for your back!!!) and propping herself up at a chair or table, etc. However I will try reducing the feed amount, weird as some nights she'll drink as much and have no problem at all. She does pretty much finish and roll herself over in your arms to drift off to sleep though so not good for digestion I guess.

Babies need about 20oz of milk a day but that includes from other sources such as yoghurts, cheese etc. But thats a guideline, some will take less, some more

I agree with other posters it sounds like too much milk
