I am a widowed single parent to three children. My eldest girl is just 15 and was academic and able but recently she started going out with a 17 year old boy who used to go to her school but was expelled and went to a behavioural unit. I am told he was caught with a knife by the police (my daughter said he was training to be a chef). When he comes around he wears a balaclava, black clothes and a puffer jacket and is monosyllabic to me and does not seem to want to engage in any conversation. He room smells of cannabis when he is around and she has started to listen to really nasty drill music loudly that talks about stabbing people in the lungs so they drown in their blood or slicing their throats. She even told me that Andrew Tate has a point about money, although I did not want to pursue any conversation about him.
My daughter spent half-term wearing really skimpy athleisure in the cold wandering the streets with her boyfriend. She will not answer her phone and has stopped 'find my iPhone' so I cannot trace her. She will not stick to curfew times and sometimes comes back at midnight.
I have had to put a lock on my door as money has disappeared from my purse and credit cards have gone missing and have been used in the local area small amounts in vape shops, before I have put a stop to the card.
When I try and impose any discipline or speak to my daughter about what is going on in her life or about the missing monies, she ends up shouting and screaming and walking out (possibly into the arms of her boyfriend). She blames my autistic youngest child who she used to be close with and says that I do not like her boyfriend because I am a racist as he is black (even though this is not true - I am just concerned about her wellbeing and that of the family).
She is becoming impossible to live with and she and her boyfriend create a threatening and unpleasant atmosphere in the house. I am at my wits end as to what to do and to control my child who just a year ago gave me hugs and danced to Katy Perry in the living room. I feel like I am losing her.
