Cmpa or silent reflux - help!

Hi all I wondered if someone could help me.

I’ve been to the gp multiple times and I have been referred to a paediatric dietician today.
I am at a loss as to what could be the problem with my 8 week old baby.

here are the symptoms since birth :
Excessive wind, stomach ache, bloated and hard stomach, stuffy nose, grunting, squirming whilst drinking milk, pulling legs up, stomach churning, wakes straining, hiccups after every feed, jerky movements all the time and darting eyes looks uncomfortable.

today he has literally cried every waking second and has hardly napped. I’ve had to go on a random drive with him for a few hours so he would sleep.
sometimes he almost refuses feeds and other times he is okish. He is just constantly unsettled and jerky.

im guessing it could be cmpa/lactose intolerance/silent reflux or a bit of everything?
anyone have any experience?

Is does sound like it could be CMPA @Mum1510.

Have you read this article from Allergy UK or called their Helpline?

What are his dirty nappies like? Any vomiting? Rash?

Mum1510 · 15/02/2023 01:12

Hello, they are smooth, quite watery and light brown/yellow
no committing and no rash x

Was the link of any use @Mum1510?

Mum1510 · 15/02/2023 20:35

I’ve had a look, thank you for sending! A lot of the symptoms cross over with each other so I’m still not sure x

So could it be worth trying a milk suitable for babies with CMPA to see if any of the symptoms ease?

Omg I’m obviously tired but I’ve tried sma althera prescribed and it didn’t work, he started refusing it and crying in pain still after 5 days. This happened last on Friday night so I was frantically trying to decide what to do and went out and got lactose free milk and he’s been fine so far
