My daughter is very much a mummy's girl to the point I'm currently very unwell and have been for weeks and in process of getting bloods as Dr's unsure what's going out, but I'm still having to do anything and everything for her as she refusing point blank to let dad help her with anything. I keep telling her dad to get involved and he says he tries, is it such a thing that I'm obvs always involved with my daughter as is my family, can my daughter not having as much of a bond with her paternal family cause her not to form as much of a bond between her and dad

How old is she @Stephk86?

Stephk86 · 07/02/2023 16:28

She's 3. 4 in July. Goes school September. She's not clinging when out and about it's always mummy do it, it feels like because she is so close to me and my family, her relationship with her dad is suffering because subconsciously she knows she isn't as close to his family. To the point my partners mum lives 7 miles away, the last time she saw my daughter was 3/4 weeks ago

Ok so I think you need to not push the relationships with her but could you start by inviting your DMIL over for tea once a week to help build up the relationship?

As for your DH/DP does he take her out on his own so that you can get a rest? What does he do on his days off?
