4 month old so distracted

My 4 month old has suddenly become very distracted when feeding. I've tried all the usual stuff - quiet room, minimal noise etc, but it's getting to the point where he's not taking half as much as he usually does. He's not unhappy/poorly - just so distracted by everything! He's just become fascinated with the big wide world and can't take it all in quick enough! Which is lovely, but I'm not sure he's getting all the milk he needs! This morning he kept turning just to look at our curtains Grin. I don't remember his older siblings being this way!

He feeds well at night and still wakes around 2-3 times for milk.

Any ideas? Time to wean? He's 5 months in a week.

Thanks.

I remember this phase - a feed would take ages because he'd get distracted super easily and then a few minutes later he'd be angry because he wasn't full.

If you're bottle feeding try going up a teat size.

I used to do at least one feed a day somewhere a bit distracting, like on a park bench, so he could build up a tolerance to feeding in noisy places.
If I went to a baby group I'd be feeding him on and off throughout the whole session because he was so distracted by everything going on.

Sounds normal. Not much you can do really, I'm not sure I would jump to weaning tbh. He could probably do with the higher levels of calories from your milk/formula especially if he's a bit distracted right now.
