My son is nearly 7 and is doing very well at school but his speech is quite lispy/wet and he has some stubborn pronunciation errors.
We’ve been correcting him for forever but any success is short lived.
It is starting to effect his spelling as he sounds out the words that he wants to use but the school speech therapist basically says that because his are common speech impediments in adults, that she is content for him to have them.
Does anyone have any experience or advice?
I am not happy to miss an opportunity to correct if possible.
