Hey! I’m new here and I’m reaching out for help from anyone who may be in my situation or who can offer advice / positive outcomes.. x

my daughter is 28 months old and isn’t talking. She babbles ALOT. And tends to repeat quite a few words - but doesn’t really go back to them.

She has always hit all other milestones. Crawling, walking etc. she has no aversions to ANY food and doesn’t seem OCD about surroundings. We’ve always found she’s quite willing to go anywhere without problems.

she does like to play with particular toys and is obsessive about putting them in boxes, she’s like to play alone. She does engage in group activity but struggles maintaining focus. She hands flaps and spins - but it’s no excessive some days I witness no hands at all.

she aids in dressing herself and loves having shoes on although sometimes she is really upset when they’re off. She does go long periods of time in the house without them on with no bother at all.

the reason I have listed the above is because that is what’s been flagged to us as concerns by her nursery. The HV flagged her speech and eye contact (she always makes eye contact with us) she was fine across all other areas.

im currently 20 weeks pregnant and riddled with anxiety. Not because of what it may be but because of what I should be doing as a parent to help or whether this is just typical / personality traits and the speech could still come with time …

thanks for reading if you got this far! ❤️

I just wanted to say - I'm there with you at the mo ❤️ Sounds similar to my thread. I do wonder how much lockdowns have affected these babies too....
