Is this level of tantrum normal?

DD1 (no siblings) 17mo next week. Been happening since about 15mo.

She's not coming out of it quickly (sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes a whole wake window). She's slamming her head into hard floors/cupboards with frustration. Hitting us, scratching, hitting other kids etc, not eating, throwing food. It's awful.

She gets upset over anything. Sometimes falling over, sometimes the wrong cup, sometimes the high chair, sometimes wrong spoon etc. It's hard to watch. She's making herself hysterical.
No other kids her age behave like this, so I'm worried it's something I'm doing.

She is with a childminder 5 days a week and has been since 12 months. Really enjoys it. Doesn't tantrum to this extent there, but is starting to get worse.

Any joy? We’re similar age and have noticed the same thing huge what I think is tantrums and I’ve never seen or heard anything like it
