Toddler hurting others

I picked my DD (20 months) up from nursery yesterday and they told me that she had grabbed another child's face and wouldn't let go...she did this to two different children. The manager of the nursery asked me if she saw this at home...I've taken it like she was implying that I've done that to my DD which has made me so sad and upset. My DD is normally so loving and kind. How do I handle this type of behaviour? And what should the nursery do? Any advice would be very welcome. Thank you for reading

That's a bit of a leap @LouMorg! Why would you think she was implying that?

She's probably just asking to see if there's a pattern, like your DD does this if she's feeling ill, overtired or overwhelmed.
