My 16 mnth DD has been extremely hot in the face and body when I have gone to check on her during the night. It has lead to me and DH waking her up and patting her with a damp towel or even putting her in the bath because we are paranoid she will get another Febrile convulsion. This has gone on for 4 nights now.she never actually has a fever but it seems that if I left her, it would end up that way. Could I give her anything besides calpol and Neurofen???

my ds has always been a hot and sweaty child as long as temp in room is ok and not running a temp i wouldnt worry your selves too much

my ds 2.7 has always been soaked in sweat of a night time sometimes have to change him where he is so wet

not sure of reasons why maybe because they are just laying there and not moving around who knows his dad is just is the same mind

i wouldnt wake and put in the bath i would just make sure room is nicely ventilated think it could be the central heating in my ds room so i just make sure he is dressed cooly and window slightly open and duvet under shoulders
