DS is 14m. Have suspected since about 6m that he may be be autistic, he's a tiny bit behind developmentally but my suspicions are mainly due to very subtle odd behaviours and interests.
Just wondering if anyone can relate to or comment on this swimming reaction he had today.
We've taken him to center parcs and we've been swimming with him 3 times. The whole time he has been in the water he was completely stoic and had no expression on his face. Didn't react to games he usually will smile politely to. However I don't think he disliked it - the opposite - he was very relaxed and he didn't cry at all. We were cooing and playing peekaboo and splashing and the whole time he barely cracked a smile.
Now I know it's a big experience for him but he's been swimming before at a private pool and in public swimming pools and it's always the same reaction.
I'm not sure what to make of it.
