My 19 months boy not talking as his cousin is using vast vocabulary... he has some unclear word
Bye bye
Peeca for(peekaboo)
Tee for (tv)
Boo for ( Bob cartoon)
Pa for (papa)
Ba for( banana)
Do for ( dog)
He just using first sound of words... m worried he is behind in talking...he was not big in cooing and babbling when he was small... he rarely babbled or cooed.
Otherwise he is very smart...he points everything, understands everything I say. Copied me well... please mums tell me if any mum has same experience?

My first didn't say a word until 22 months. It worried me alot but then she came out her first word perfectly formed and hasn't stopped talking since. My point is they are all different, I would be overly concerned about what you have described.

My DD also wasn’t saying hardly anything at 19 months, even by her 2nd birthday she only had a few words. She had an explosion in her speech around 2y1m and hasn’t stopped since. She understood everything though so I knew it would come. As long as he understands things I wouldn’t worry.

one of mine was mute til she was 2. no sounds at all. then started talking in sentences. but if you're worried, ask your hv/gp?

Sorry I meant to write I wouldn't be overly concerned - flipping autocorrect 🙄
