My 3YO son shakes when he paints, draws etc

Hi all

My son goes to playschool and just recently they have picked up on the fact that his hands shake a bit when hes painting, drawing, sticking etc.

I tested him and he seemed fine (except for holding the pencil outwards), but we went to a friends house and when he was doing sticking/arts & crafts with his friend there was a visible shake. My friend has also noticed that he shakes a bit when he walks.

He can still achieve what hes doing and the playschool says its probably nothing to worry about as he was a very late walker. But are there any other parents whos kids have done this in the past or are currently doing it and do they grow out of it?

I am worried

Hello, I think you need to see your GP and get a referral to a paed. Good luck.

My dd used to shake, mostly when she had just woken up she would be shaky. She did have low muscle tone and since having been diagnosed (at 1.5 years )with epilepsy and gone on meds she no longer shakes.
