Waking up screaming toddler

My 3 y old DD has been waking up for 3 nights in a row crying and coming into our bedroom , so far nothing out of the ordinary , but she will refuse to be touched , she will scream hysterical that she doesn’t want anyone to touch her at all and would start to hit her legs and arms like someone is actually trying to … she then screams that she wants her pj and nappy off and after that she will slowly calm down , come into our arms and fall asleep in a Perfectky happy mood . I thought night terrors but she is 100% awake … they say that w night terror they have their eyes open but they are asleep , not very helpful… so I think she is awake but at this point what do I know ?
she also has a bad cold and something odd and hopefully not linked to this has started to happen .. she is losing her hair … she always had thick long hair and now I can see her scalp and it’s upsetting ? Gp says maybe iron deficiency… I hope that , I hope it’s easily fixed and she will be better soon .
Does anyone know what these screaming sessions are about ? I dread calling the gp , most of the time they don’t know the first things about babies .

Hello, I came across your post and am aware this has been written a while ago. I was just wondering if you found out what was happening with your DD? My son is waking up similarly to your daughter, he seems awake but unsure what’s happening.

Same here. Last night my 3yo daughter woke up and was very upset. She has a cold as well.
She wanted her clothes off as well. Took us 2h to get her back to sleep. The moment calpol and ibuprofen wear off she is whiney and says her legs are sore.
I hope it's just muscle pain from her cold.
She does not have a temperature with it.
