From breast to bottle

Hello, due to some ongoing feeding issues that we cannot seem to resolve, I will have to resort to pumping milk and feeding my baby with the bottle. Does anyone have any tips on how to get him used to the bottle? I tried previously and he was rejecting it. I heard it can take a while so I want to prepare.. thank you

I had a couple of bottle refusers so I'm not great at suggestions. However, if you look in the MN archive there will lots of old threads on bottle refusal.

What did you do with your bottle refusers?

Mine had a cup! How old is your LO?

He is 2months ☺️

Two months is probably a bit young for the majority of feeds to be in a cup then.

How are you getting on now? Any more luck with the bottles?

Well he had his tongue tie snipped last week so now we have to do some exercises for him to hopefully learn how to use his tongue properly. I really hope there will be some improvement but apparently it is not an overnight fix. In the meantime I will try to offer him a dummy a bit more

Hello me again... breastfeeding improved after tongue tie was snipped but now I have a different problem. I am on antibiotics for the third time in almost 6months as I keep getting an infection in my right breast. I also had galactocele (milk cyst) drained 3x. I am afraid of having to take antibiotics again and I'm thinking of stopping bf 😢 BUT baby rejects the bottle, as previously mentioned.

I feel trapped.

I've been trying to research if there are any teats that he might accept. When did yours use the cup @PritiPatelsMaker? And how do I get to MN archive you mentioned previously? Thank you
