Unruly toddler problems

Hi Everyone
DS is 3 and has been very easy up until now! We're struggling to get him to listen when he's doing things he shouldn't be. Raised voices/stern voices dont help and he just laughs. DS is my only child so i have 0 experience on the right way to do things.
All advice & comments appreciated.

Can you give us more of an example about what he's doing?

Have you tried speaking really, really quietly instead of shouting so that he has to concentrate on what you're saying?
