My gorgeous little grandchild is short. 1st centile for height (60th for weight )
Prenatal scans showed short thighs, and a big head...and he's stayed that way. He doesn't look particularly chubby either so I think most of the weight is his head ..looks like a miniature rugby player 
His parents aren't tall.. dad is 5 ft 7, but grandparents on both sides are tall. I don't expect he'll be a six footer but is he doomed to be the short bloke or do some children actually shoot up later?
Right now it makes him incredibly cute and impressive when he looks like a one year old but is scrambling up the steep steps at soft play, but I worry he'll be teased at school!
