So, my 14month old has recently started head butting us when he is tired, we tell him no, move him away from us etc but he continues to do it. He has now started hitting when we tell him no, take things off him he shouldn't have and he goes ballistic and will headbutt the ground/sofa, pretty much whatever is closest. I'm a FTM so have no experience of what is normal behaviour at this age. Is this normal? A phase? Is it something I'm doing? Should I not give him a row? Am I causing the bad behaviour by reacting to him when he does something bad?
He has always but such a happy wee boy, and anyone who is ever in his company always says that he is a delight etc. I'm worried that he is lashing out because of something I'm doing wrong. I try and spend as much time with him as I can, but I've recently gone back to work, right off the back of him being quite unwell so I'm not sure if it's the change in routine as I put him into childcare but had to take him back out due to safety concerns :(
I think I'm just looking for a bit of reassurance that this is normal behaviour at this age and not something I am doing wrong.
