My 6 week old LG is formula fed. She will keep drinking until I take away the bottle and will go again any time I offer it to her. She drinks 4oz every 4 hours because that's what I give her based off the guidelines for her weight. She seems content with this but I am concerned she never shows signs of fullness, am I doing something wrong?

She drinks her bottles very fast, I am doing paced feeding and slow flow teats with no difference.

What happens if you give her 5 floz?

She will still drain the whole bottle and take more if I offered!! I don't want to overfeed and my HV said 4 oz is enough for her to be getting for her weight

I'm not sure that your HV is giving you the right advice here. Some babies "catch up" in the first few weeks and may jump up one or two centiles.

Also, if she's draining a bottle you really do need to add another floz.

Try to take your baby's lead on what she needs Wink

What should I be looking out for to tell me baby is full? 😊

They'll usually stop drinking the milk Wink
