Hi All,

My DC is 16 months old and as the thread title says he can not walk, talk, point or clap. He can stand unaided for 20 seconds at most and then falls to the floor or holds back onto the wall. He has repetitive habits of playing with the same toys in certain ways and twisting wrists. He has only started to wave as of 2 weeks ago. I know all children develop at their own pace but is there anyway I can encourage him more to talk or walk or anything. I have also cut tv time out and now currently Christmas songs play in the background. He has also had his ears tested and there is nothing wrong with his hearing. HV said he will possibly go through a development stretch and just start talking, however they are not going to look into anything until he is 18-20 months old.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

What has the HV said that will happen at 18 months? Is she going to refer to a Paediatrician and SLT?

Hey, May I please know how is your little one now?

@Saum you could try an @ to see if the OP will come back but you might be best starting your own thread telling us what your concerns are Wink
