Hi there I need to be reassured please if I'm doing things right. My 1 year old ds eats well but not sure the right items

Breakfast is either porridge or weetabix with fruit and hand full of cheerios

Lunch is any 12+ meal with yoghurt

Dinner is again a 12+ meal or fresh sweet potato with veg and cheese mixed in.

Snacks in day is a whole banana and puffs.

He's had a lot of teeth come thru all one time and isn't really isn't interested our foods. He will put to mouth and taste but won't eat. I've tried egg, bread etc

He sits in highchair with us at all mealtimes and is happy. He has just learnt to walk. He isn't saying words yet but is vocal. He doesn't clap or point.

I'm asking that is he on right track with everything or do u think there is a problem. Am i doing things wrong ? My hv is not very helpful made me feel bit useless really hence why I'm asking u lovely people.

Well it's really good that you eat together but is there a reason that he has prepared meals? The Caroline Walker Trust have produced this guide which suggests snacks and has sample menus Wink

It's also great that he's chatting away to you. Talking Point, who are a SLT charity, have a great progress checker here if you just want to check that he's on track.

As for the teeth coming through, I'd try ibruprofen and a teething gel like Dentinox if she seem uncomfortable. I wouldn't personally offer alternatives though if he's refusing a meal or a food. DC seem to have appetites that can vary day to day so it's much better to look at what they've eaten over a week rather than concentrating on a dish or a day.
