am interested reading that other thread about being weighed in schools.

is there an optimum weight and how do they work it out?

have a look in your red book. the 50th centile line is the average I think.

dinny · 31/01/2008 21:49

ah, all that centile stuff still applies even when older, does it?

up to aged 18 it says

ChasingSquirrels · 31/01/2008 21:50

average though - not necessarily optimum!

dinny · 31/01/2008 21:51

so if obesity is rising in the young, presumably the average will rise?

yes, CS, so it won't be the optimum weight, will it?

wonder what the OPTIMUM is

LardyMardyDaisy · 31/01/2008 21:53

ChasingSquirrels · 31/01/2008 21:54

wow - 2 good points in one thread - shame I can't be funny aswell!

LardyMardyDaisy · 31/01/2008 21:59

LOL (see you are funny), and I don't want to disillusion you but we cross posted, and I was referring to your first point

although the second one was very good too

ChasingSquirrels · 31/01/2008 22:00
