2 Year old just started to push other children, scream and barge his way through to get toys.

Over the last three days the terrible two's have arrived in our household. My son, who was 2 earlier this month, has started to push other children (to get toys or other objects off them) and to scream words, like "NO!" with no build-up in temper, just straight to the scream. He's not sharing toys - toys in playgroup settings that is, that aren't his - I could understand if it was at home. His behaviour seems to have escalated very quickly, and I feel as if I'm in a constant battle. I'm managing to hold it together and stay calm and discipline him without losing it, but I keep getting very sad and upset as well. I'm sure that this happens to a lot of parents and any advice or support would be appreciated. Thanks.

All i can add is it does get easier if your consistent with discipline and make sure he knows what he is doing wrong it will sink in and rest assured it is all very normal, try to take a little time out for yourself though as it can get tiring and don't let him see it's getting to you. Good Luck

2 is very little still

At that age, I'd be making sure I was very engaged with them as they play in company - passing toys, helping with the negotiations, and not in a "no, that's naughty" kind of way, but in a "yes, look, Jake is playing with that blue truck, how about we play with this red one till he's finished". There's all sorts of things one can do to help a toddler learn about the dance with other people and communal objects, and most of them are best undertaken kneeling on the floor next to them, helping them
