Hi guys.. i really need some help with my 5 year old. He is a good kid. He listens to me, very responsible, tidies up..does his work, love doing activities and learning new stuff.

There is one thing which he does alot and i have to go through that few times in a day.

Example. Mom and 5 year old zay

Mom: zaydan all done colouring baby.. we have to go now?
Zay: okay. I was going to finish it. Ok mama
Mom: ok zay
Zay: okay.mama
Mom: (being very nice)ok baby
Zay: oKAY
Mom: okay zay zay

Yes this can go for a long time until i scream OKAY.

Zay: mama theres a bus.
Mom: yes i see it zay.
Zay: theres a bus mama.
Mom: yes baby i see it.

He will still repeat again again.

He gets offended very easily as well. If i tell him to hurry up, he will be like I am then same will start his repeating game again. It gets me really crazy some times.. i have no idea how to handle this behaviour.

He also smells his hands alot. He used to do that when he was 3 years old and then grew out of it. Recently he has started to smell his hands again just because he thinks they might be dirty.

If anyone could give me any advice on this, i would really appreciate it. Thank you

Not sure on the constant back and forth in the language but I would be concerned about the hand sniffing.

For his language and understanding, I'd do this progress checker and I think I'd go the the GP about the hand sniffing as to me, it sounds like it could be OCD?
