I don't know how to deal with this!

My DS has just turned 3. He's been about 90% potty trained for about 2 weeks now and since potty training he has become a nightmare. His behaviour is so bad now and we're at our wits end. Last week he had a bad cold and this has ramped up his naughtiness.
He's an only child, doesn't go to play school yet etc. He has become extremely aggressive and now even starting to spit at us. We discipline him with a time out (3 mins), and while in his time out he continues to spit and destroy things.
We never taught him aggression (we don't slap him) and he's never seen anyone spitting. He just attacks me for no reason, pulling me to the ground by my hair and has started throwing and kicking now too. He doesn't seem to learn anything from his time outs.
I would really appreciate any advice please and thanks x

That does sound hard. First thing I'd do is to stop the potty training. If he's been unwell it might just be a bit overwhelming for him.

Is there a reason too that he doesn't go to preschool or any playgroups?
